When We Are Closed

Ring 111 NHS telephone line when you need medical help fast but it is not an emergency.

A trained operator will answer and ask you for all necessary details e.g. Name, Address, your doctor’s name and Practice address. Please have these available. All calls are recorded. There will be three possible courses of action as appropriate:

  1. The doctor will give you advice over the telephone
  2. If you need to see the doctor and are well enough to travel, then you will be given an appointment
  3. If a visit is necessary, one of the mobile Doctors will call to see you within   4 Hours unless a more urgent case appears in between.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
